Although it may seem hard to believe how fast your baby will gain weight, the reality is that they grow quickly! Baby carriers can only carry 20-25 lbs, so you will need a baby stroller. There are so many brands and options available for baby strollers, it can be difficult to find the right one for you. These are some quick tips to help with your search. Read more.
1. Price
There are many options for baby strollers. They come in different sizes and shapes. And, most importantly, they all have different prices. You can get the basic strollers starting at $50, up to the more expensive Mercedes Benz strollers that start at $1000. It is important to establish your budget before you start looking. This will help you narrow down the options so that you aren’t overwhelmed by all of the options.
2. Type of use
There are hundreds of strollers available, from jogging and baby strollers that can be used on uneven terrain to strollers with all-wheel drive suspension. A jogging stroller is a great option for runners. You can take your little one along on your runs. Non-runners can also use these strollers. They are easy to push and have large enough wheels that you can take it off the road (hikes or trails). Although they are great for their intended purpose, jogging strollers can’t be used every day. Many have front wheels that don’t turn. This is great for running straight but not great for shopping.
3. Children:
Do you have more than one child? A double stroller is a good option. There are many styles that can be used side-by-side, and some are even wider. There is also a longer version that places one behind the other. While I don’t think one style is better than another, I do like the side-by sides. If you find these double strollers too bulky or heavy, you might consider buying two separate strollers.
4. Frequency and duration of use
Parents who are always on the move and want to get their baby out and about as soon as possible? You should look for sturdy strollers that are easily convertible and suitable for toddlers and newborns. Some strollers are made only for newborns, so they will quickly outgrow your stroller investment and leave you with an unusable stroller after a few months.
5. Weight
Your stroller will be used a lot – you’ll need to unload it from your car, load it into the car, carry it up and down stairs; you may also have to move it around a lot. While lightweight strollers might be lighter, more sturdy ones will be heavier. It is up to you to balance the weight and how much you are willing to carry with a more robust stroller.
